Student Posture Guide

Why Students Develop Posture Problems

Long hours sitting with head down studying or using smartphones leads to forward head and round shoulder. Bad posture habits during growth years become harder to correct later, so early management is important.

Common Student Posture Problems

Forward head (looking down at textbooks), shoulder asymmetry (carrying bag on one shoulder), pelvic tilt (crossing legs while sitting), round shoulder (slouching) are most common.

Posture Tips While Studying

Use a book stand to reduce head tilting. Sit deep in the chair with back against the backrest, feet flat on the floor. Take 10-minute breaks every 50 minutes to stretch.

Backpack and Posture

Wear backpack on both shoulders evenly. Bag weight should be 10-15% of body weight or less. Carrying on one shoulder is a major cause of shoulder asymmetry.
