What is Pelvic Tilt?

Pelvic tilt is when left/right pelvis heights differ or pelvis is tilted front/back. Very common in modern people due to sedentary lifestyle. One of the main causes of lower back pain.

Self-Check Method

Stand in front of mirror with hands on hips and compare left/right height. If belt line is tilted, you may have pelvic asymmetry. Feeling different leg lengths while lying down is also a sign.

Main Causes

Crossing legs when sitting, standing with weight on one leg, sitting for long periods, carrying loads on one side, insufficient recovery after childbirth.

Corrective Exercises

Do Clamshell, Bridge exercises, Cat-Cow stretching daily. When sitting, distribute weight evenly on both sit bones. Avoid crossing legs.
